HackerRank OA, Then a Robotic HM Screen and a Rejection

A recruiter reached out to me first. After the phone screen, they sent a HackerRank OA — three questions total, 90 minutes. The first question was a lot like one I'd seen in another thread, just with the scenario swapped out. The second one was a LeetCode question. The third was a prompt-engineering question with five sub-parts. Basically: you're an Olympic champion's coach and you need to help t…

OA Cut to 50 Minutes for Five Questions

There's not much information about this internship role on the forum, and what's there is outdated, so today I'll share my OA to help others out (and also help myself next year when I'm looking for full-time). The OA got a lot harder this year — it used to be three questions in one hour, but now it's five questions in 50 minutes. The questions were two easy SQL questions, two easy-medium LeetCode…

HackerRank OA With a Circle-Geometry Question, Then a Coin-Flip Expectation Puzzle

OA 60-minute HackerRank test, 4 questions. Same format as most experience posts here — except question 3 was SQL, and for the other questions you could choose Python or R. But I'm pretty sure most people here just use Python. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
