A recruiter reached out to me first. After the phone screen, they sent a HackerRank OA — three questions total, 90 minutes.
The first question was a lot like one I'd seen in another thread, just with the scenario swapped out.
The second one was a LeetCode question.
The third was a prompt-engineering question with five sub-parts. Basically: you're an Olympic champion's coach and you need to help them design a prompt for filtering news. You couldn't copy text into this one, but you could paste it in, so I'd recommend just having an AI generate the prompt and pasting it over — otherwise you'll be really pressed for time. I saw I had plenty of time left and got excited typing everything out myself, and ended up almost not finishing — the last couple of sub-parts came out pretty rushed.
The recruiter got back to me quickly to say I'd passed, and then it was the HM round. The interviewer just asked behavioral questions and my views on AI, like she was working through some kind of question bank one item at a time. I could tell she had zero interest in anything I said — she never followed up on what I meant by anything, it just felt like a completely emotionless question-dispensing machine.
The next day I got the rejection email.
