The interview focused heavily on Core Java and Spring Boot. I discussed Java OOP and concurrency, including multithreading, executor services, volatile, race conditions, and deadlocks. We also covered controller and rest controller annotations, the N+1 query problem, and eager versus lazy loading. There was a stream-related coding question as well.
The experience was not smooth throughout. In one conversation, the interviewer started asking front-end questions, and I had to point out that the role was intended for enterprise development. They adjusted after I raised it, but the mix-up still felt unprofessional.
The technical content was clear enough to follow, and I worked through the concepts they asked about. I received an offer, though I was left feeling the role alignment should have been tighter from the beginning.
Location: Mumbai. Overall feedback: negative. Offer status: got offer.
