The loop began with demanding technical rounds. I had to work through two LeetCode DSA problems, one medium and one hard. Getting the solution to work was only part of it: I had to explain my thinking, analyze time and space complexity, cover edge cases and optimizations, and discuss alternative approaches and trade offs.

Next came system design for a scalable, distributed Amazon style service. We covered API design, data modeling, database choice, caching, load balancing, scalability, fault tolerance, consistency, high traffic behavior, architectural trade offs, and how the design could evolve. In low level design, I designed an object oriented system from scratch, identifying classes, relationships, and suitable patterns while discussing extensibility, clean code, SOLID, maintainability, and iterative improvements to handle changing requirements.

The bar raiser focused on Leadership Principles through STAR examples about ownership, ambiguity, delivering results, customer obsession, conflict, learning from failure, and difficult technical decisions. It was very difficult, and I did not get an offer, but the questions felt directly tied to how I would be expected to think as an engineer.

Location: Bengaluru. Overall feedback: Positive. Offer status: No offer.
