After a recruiter step, I was given an online assessment split into two back-to-back parts: a HackerRank coding test and a Canditech portion. The plan was one harder LeetCode-style HackerRank problem, then Canditech questions where I would explain my thinking through math and probability prompts. Canditech also included mental math and a recorded video response within a time limit.
I never completed the full flow because I did not receive the HackerRank link I was supposed to start with. I contacted them multiple times for access but never got a response, so the process stalled soon after those two assessments were scheduled. That was frustrating because the parts I could see sounded manageable, but the missing coding access kept me from progressing.
The difficulty seemed average to strong for a quant role, especially the recorded explanation format. In the end, the experience was less about my performance than the missing HackerRank access.
