My process had several online stages before I spoke with anyone live. The assessment setup combined coding with a video interview, where I worked through math and probability questions while explaining my reasoning. The timing was tight enough that I had to be deliberate, though it felt relevant to the work expected of a quantitative researcher.
After those assessments, I had a technical screen centered on probability and statistics. It felt tougher than the earlier screening because I needed both speed and clean reasoning. The questions were closer to green-book-style work than casual practice. There were also resume-based questions, and the interviewer was fairly chill, which took some of the edge off the follow-ups.
I did not pass the technical screen. I came away understanding what they were testing, but the depth of probability and the live pace did not work in my favor. The quick, tiring process made the real bar clear.
