The assessments made runtime and optimization as important as getting the answer right. I took an OA and then a general coding assessment covering hash maps, binary search, queues and heap operations. The questions became harder as I went, so I needed to finish the early ones quickly enough to leave time for the later work.
One later problem hit a runtime limit, and I had to improve my first solution. That was stressful: I needed to find a faster approach with less time than I'd planned for.
In a separate attempt, I took a short timed probability and logic test and didn't reach the interviews after that math stage. Across those experiences, I felt the standard was high and there was little room for slow trial and error.
