Round 1

  • I was asked about my experience with DevOps teams.
  • The difference between a const variable and a static variable in C++.
  • What is a database? How do you quickly retrieve data from a massive amount of data?
  • The principles and concepts behind red-black trees (RB tree) and tries (prefix trees).
  • Using Jenkins and its plugins.
  • How to efficiently read/fetch a huge log file (How to fetch large log).
  • The difference between sharding and indexing in a database.
  • What happens if you delete a base class pointer when the base class has no virtual destructor defined?
  • The difference between stack memory and heap memory.

Round 2

Design and implement an LRU cache.

  • Various follow-up questions came up while I was writing the code.

Round 3

I was given a piece of singly linked list insertAfter code (with the core pointer update missing) and asked to find the bug and predict the output.

I was also given a piece of code involving C++ polymorphism and overriding and asked to predict its output:

  • Why does it produce that output?
  • Related follow-up questions.

In your actual work, in what situations would you use AI tools? How often and how heavily do you use them?
