I started with a recruiter call about my location and sponsorship needs, followed by an explanation of the interview process. Next came a behavioral interview with the hiring manager, who followed up on almost everything I said. Since the role was with an NPU-related group, I spent a lot of time connecting my background to AI and hardware accelerators.
The technical part included another coding-focused interview. Separately, I went through a three-round Zoom sequence with people at different team levels. The split was roughly half behavioral and half technical. The interviewers were thorough, and I appreciated that they answered my questions about the role instead of making it feel like a one-way interrogation.
The process ended with an offer, so by the end it felt like everything had clicked. The interviews tested more than my performance on individual questions. They were also trying to make sure I understood the work and that the fit was broader than technical ability alone.
