I went through a technical-focused interview that leaned heavily into computer architecture and verification. I was asked about UART, SPI, and I2C, including how those topics connect to the bigger picture. We also covered object-oriented programming and verification languages and concepts such as UVM. The discussion then moved to bus protocols including APB, AHB, and AXI, followed by coverage, assertions, and using Python and C++ in the verification workflow.
The questions seemed to expect a strong baseline understanding rather than trying to trick me, but I needed to be fluent across a wide range of specifics to keep up. The interviewer was genuinely nice, and the conversation was easy to follow.
Even with that good interaction, I didn't advance to the next rounds. I walked away knowing that my understanding of core verification concepts needed to be tighter across the whole stack, even though the interview itself felt pleasant.
