My recruiter call covered graduation timing and location preferences. Technical questions focused on Java, including polymorphism, constructors, abstract classes, interfaces, encapsulation, exceptions, and inheritance.
Coding included reversing a linked list and verbally described tasks involving functions, maps, and arrays. Requirements changed as I coded. The manager interview lasted about ninety minutes and explored how I learn, handle failure and success, and evaluate my projects. The questions went deeply into what had worked and what I could improve.
I also had a friendly behavioral conversation with an experienced Apple recruiter. My impression was that the consecutive coding and manager interviews mattered most. The recruiter gave very positive feedback afterward. I wondered whether I had been selected from several candidates, but did not know. Three new graduates joined around the same time after interviewing in different cycles.
