After coding phone screens on September 4 and 14, my virtual onsite was split between September 29 and October 2. Technical rounds also included behavioral questions about my work.

The first day covered a concurrent linked list, inherited roles and deny precedence in a permission system, and document uploads with synchronization across devices. Behavioral topics included simplifying systems, small changes with substantial effects, and solving complex problems.

The second day included a hardware-signal ingestion service that batched data into object storage. Its stated rate was about one hundred requests per second, with questions about buffering and recovery. A project deep dive examined throughput, failure isolation, concurrency, and observability. Behavioral questions addressed stopping a project and adapting to change.

The recruiter gave positive feedback on October 6, and I received a verbal offer on October 8.
