After recruiter outreach, I had a DSA-heavy technical interview about linked lists and trees. The interview focused on how I reasoned about memory and pointers, not only whether I reached the final code. It lasted about an hour, and the interviewer was chill. I had to explain storage and memory use while building or tracing a solution, then answer follow-ups on traversal and pointer behavior.
In other attempts, the process stopped early. The same DSA theme remained, with medium-to-moderate difficulty. I was cut after the first DSA round when I could not fully land everything I tried. Lists, trees, and DP came up. Solving a couple of problems did not always lead to an interview call.
What stood out most was how consistently the interviews stayed on linked-list and tree concepts and low-level mechanics, even when the questions looked standard. I did not get an offer. I was left feeling that my core DSA approach was strong, but I did not always show the depth they were measuring.
Location: India. Overall feedback: Positive. Offer status: no offer.
