My process had a written exam followed by a follow-up interview. The exam covered foundation and superstructure knowledge and often required diagrams of structural systems, including BMD-style sketches. I knew I needed time to prepare, so I treated the written portion as the main hurdle before the interview.
After the exam, I moved to the follow-up conversation. That stage was more about walking through my thinking than memorizing facts, but the written work was what drove my stress. The difficulty was specific: it was less about general interview nerves and more about accuracy and visual work. I did my best within that format, even though it did not lead to an offer.
Location: Hong Kong. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: no offer.
