My schedule was extremely tight and very technical: a technical segment of about 30 minutes followed immediately by a behavioral segment of about 30 minutes.
The technical portion covered a lot. I got valuation topics, dividend recap-style questions, and free cash flow, with follow-ups that went into the details. The pace made it clear that they expected thorough accounting knowledge. We worked through scenarios step by step from year 0 onward until something stopped adding up.
The behavioral half was separate and more standard, but the technical portion was the centerpiece. It felt like an exhaustive test instead of a conversation, and I didn't get an offer. Afterward, I realized I needed a more comprehensive understanding and less surface-level knowledge because any gap showed up quickly.
Location: New York, NY. Overall feedback: neutral. Offer status: no offer.
