I had a lightweight, behavioral-focused experience for a software engineer internship track. Before anything technical happened, the recruiter arranged the process and checked what scheduling worked for me. The logistics felt fairly smooth, and I appreciated that the recruiter stayed in contact and helped map out the timing.
When the interview took place, it stayed entirely behavioral. There were no real technical questions, and the interviewer's energy didn't match the effort I was putting in. The interaction felt somewhat detached. I also had to reschedule, which pushed the session later than originally planned.
The result wasn't an offer, and I didn't get much sense that the interviewer was deeply engaged. What stayed with me was the contrast between the calm recruiting logistics and a bare, unenthusiastic behavioral interview that tested very little technically.
Location: United States. Overall feedback: Negative. Offer status: No offer.
