DoorDash Software Engineer interview: durable refund DAG system design

The process was demanding from the start. After several rounds, I handled behavioral questions that, interestingly, matched my real experiences well. The technical work carried the most weight, especially a system-design challenge about building a durable DAG flow for order refunds. I was overwhelmed at first, but my earlier system-design interview study helped me organize the approach and unlock my reasoning.

It felt like they kept testing me to the limit, and the technical part pushed hard on my ability to explain and structure solutions. Still, the energy shifted as the conversations progressed. In the end, I felt relieved when I received the offer. I accepted it, even though the process had been rigorous and tiring.

Location: United States. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: got offer.
