My EPAM process began with a technical assignment rather than an immediate interview. I spent a lot of time on it, and after submitting successfully, an interview was scheduled. The process then became more typical: recruiter contact, a technical session, and a manager conversation.
The technical content was mostly stack-aligned instead of unusual puzzles. I had linked-list questions, including building get, put, and delete operations from scratch and finding the middle of a linked list, as well as SQL queries and project discussion. In another similar technical flow, there was an online assessment on general DSA, a coding round involving Stream API questions, and a technical interview on Java, Spring Boot, and best practices.
Communication felt clear, and the recruiter and HR interactions were not adversarial. I also learned that even after acceptance, bench time could depend on project demand. In that phase, it took about a month after an offer to be placed and matched with projects. I did not get an offer in the earliest stage described here, but the broader process felt standard rather than chaotic. Fundamentals and real stack topics felt manageable, while later uncertainty about project availability created a different stress.
Location: India. Overall feedback: neutral. Offer status: no offer.
