Experian Software Engineer, unclear team details and concurrency discussion

I went through a fairly standard multi-stage process, but the experience felt messy. It began with a recruiter phone call where the interviewer spoke extremely quickly and the connection kept breaking. It was difficult to ask questions or clarify anything.

Next, I had an online interview with a manager. The interviewer was late, and the conversation didn’t feel grounded in what the team actually did. Even within the same process, the descriptions of the team and its technology changed enough to leave me confused.

The technical interview went more smoothly. The team members were friendly, and the questions were relevant. I was thrown off by a very specific concurrency discussion, though, and I wasn’t completely sure what angle they wanted me to explore.

What left the worst aftertaste was the impression that the same job listing was being reposted repeatedly while I was actively interviewing. That made the process feel unstable. I didn’t get an offer, and I mostly left feeling discouraged rather than confident about the fit.

Location: Bulgaria. Overall feedback: Neutral. Offer status: No offer.
