Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management Software Engineer interview: DSA and project trade-offs

A recruiter contacted me, and the early technical screen felt easy compared with the later rounds. The superday raised the difficulty with multiple DSA problems, including medium-to-hard LeetCode questions.

During the loop, I had a hiring-manager-style discussion mixing technical and nontechnical questions, plus a DSA pair-programming round. The final interview stood out. It felt partly like a check of my background, then went deeply into a project before turning to applied solutions, constraints, limitations and optimization trade-offs.

I completed the loop but didn't receive an offer. I felt they were looking at how I understood real systems and explained their boundaries as well as how I solved problems. The later project and theory discussion had the biggest effect on how I felt about the day.

Location: Warsaw, Masovia. Overall feedback: neutral. Offer status: no offer.
