After that, I met with an interviewer for a computer science fundamentals assessment that lasted about an hour.
I then had a backend engineering round that lasted another hour. The final part of that phase was a walkthrough of two projects I had worked on, followed by questions about what I built and why. That walkthrough also lasted about an hour.
It was an intensive sequence, but the process felt organized and predictable. The difficulty seemed average overall. The project walkthrough made it more reflective than purely coding focused, and I appreciated having a chance to explain the thinking behind my work. The process moved along without feeling chaotic.
