My process began with an asynchronous online interview and a technical test. The main technical portion started with a deeper discussion focused heavily on C++. It felt intense from the beginning. The interviewers were welcoming enough, but the questions went well beyond surface-level knowledge and dug into modern C++.
I went through additional rounds, and the later stages became even more specialized. One of the final parts involved a Python task. Throughout the process, multicast was a major theme because it’s an important protocol for trading companies. I felt they were testing whether I could reason about behavior in a domain-specific setting, rather than simply asking me to code.
The overall difficulty was high, and I didn’t receive an offer, but I appreciated the feedback. They pointed out my weak spots clearly, which was unusual compared with other processes I’d been through. What stayed with me was how technically deep and domain aware the interviews were, while the process remained professional and comparatively fast.
