The process was organized and centered on my resume and how I worked. I began with a recruiter screen, then met engineering interviewers and later the hiring manager. I also had a hands-on onsite discussion lasting from half an hour to about an hour. The atmosphere was fairly casual, and the interviewer explained what the job would actually involve before asking about past projects and problem solving.
Across the rounds, I kept returning to the same themes: explaining my experience clearly, showing ownership, and discussing troubleshooting and communication. Behavioral questions covered handling time pressure, cross-functional collaboration, and responding when production or a parameter did not behave as expected. One segment included yield-drop issues and drift, checking whether I could connect cause and effect rather than just list prior work.
The recruiter also explained shift work and that deliverables could make the role high-stress. I was notified quickly after the onsite. The hardest part was not an algorithm, but keeping my answers focused and sounding confident while explaining my reasoning.
