At first, the process seemed to be moving in a reasonable direction and I thought the interview would give me momentum. Still, the outcome did not match how I experienced those early stages: I was not selected.
I later understood that the decision involved communication skills and some missing technical skills. The harder part was the feedback process. After interviews, I chased updates through a long stretch of silence. In one situation recruiters never followed up after a key step, so I had to push for an answer. In another, I was told they were interviewing other candidates and waiting on results, but received no later feedback.
I could accept that I was not the right fit, but the silence felt disrespectful of my time. I kept wondering what I could have done better, but mostly wished there had been clearer communication after the final interaction. The rejection did not feel surprising so much as unresolved.
