Msft Software Engineer Interview Experience: organized fit, collaboration, and technical-depth loop

After connecting with the recruiter through LinkedIn, I began with a screening call about my background and interest in the role. Once that went well, I moved into a deliberately paced loop with clear communication about the next steps.

The early interviews focused on fit and collaboration before going deeper technically. A hiring-manager-style discussion covered my leadership approach, prior experience, and alignment with the team's goals. A team interview looked at day-to-day collaboration, and a domain or technical-depth interview tested the kind of reasoning the role required rather than surface-level answers.

The loop day involved people across levels with breaks between rounds. Interviewers asked technical and cultural questions, and the cultural portion emphasized willingness to learn and adapt. I received an offer. I was glad the process was organized enough to keep my footing while speaking with many different people.

Location: Houston, TX. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: got offer.
