NVIDIA Software Engineer interview: practical problems and delayed rejection

After an online assessment, I had interactive technical interviews where I was expected to explain my approach, not only reach an answer. One session began with a review of my resume projects and a couple of behavioral questions, then moved to a problem that felt like a realistic day-to-day task for the role.

The interviewers were generally straightforward, and I appreciated their focus on fit rather than trying to catch mistakes. One manager-related interview was disorganized, with poor communication about timing and process. That threw me off more than the technical work did.

A couple of weeks later, I was rejected even though I had solved the full set of technical problems. It made me wonder whether details such as writing code for every piece mattered as much as reaching the solution. Still, the process mostly felt fair and polite.

Location: Pune. Overall feedback: neutral. Offer status: no offer.
