Oracle Health Software Engineer interview: LRU cache under pressure

Oracle Health·Software Engineer·Reported Jul 2026

My interview loop was tougher than I expected, although the overall tone was engaging. Across several technical rounds, I implemented an LRU cache and solved a course-prerequisite-ordering problem. The pace kept me on my toes and made it hard to relax into the problems.

The last round became more intense with an optimization-style challenge: maximizing the container area between vertical lines. I had reviewed something architecturally similar recently, and that overlap helped me stay confident in the discussion.

The loop tested how I reason under pressure, not simply whether I could recall patterns. I accepted an offer. It was not easy even when I did well, and the direct challenge pushed me to tighten how I reason and communicate.

Location: United States. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: got offer.
