I began with a LeetCode-style coding round and solved two DSA problems, one medium and one hard. I had to explain my thinking, cover edge cases, and give time and space complexity. The interviewer kept asking about alternative approaches and the trade-offs behind them.
Next came system design. I worked through a problem resembling a scaled Amazon-style service and discussed API design, data modeling, database choices, caching, load balancing, scalability, and fault tolerance. I had to connect architectural decisions to consistency and resilience under high traffic, as well as how the design could change as the system grew.
The low-level design exercise required building an OOP structure from scratch, including classes, relationships, and patterns, while keeping it extensible and maintainable. A bar raiser ended the process with leadership-principle questions and detailed STAR examples from past projects. The pace and difficulty were high. I did not receive an offer, but I left feeling that the process tested engineering judgment rather than memorization.
