Prodapt Software Engineer Interview Experience: OA focused on aptitude

My process began with an online assessment meant to filter many people quickly. It was mostly MCQs on attitude and reasoning, including data interpretation, numerical reasoning, and verbal-style questions, plus one medium-to-hard coding problem. The mix felt balanced to me: the aptitude portion could be tricky if I rushed, and the coding problem could easily decide the outcome.

I felt reasonably confident about the MCQs, but was rejected after that round. On another attempt, I passed some coding test cases and felt solid on the objective questions, but did not move forward. In another assessment, the format was moderate and leaned heavily toward aptitude, English, and reasoning, with one array-style maximum-product coding question.

By the end of the assessment stage, it was clear that the company scrutinized the first filter. I never reached the later interviews, and that was the hardest part emotionally. The feedback cycle was basically closed right after the OA.

Location: Chennai. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: no offer.
