Within a few business days of applying, I was invited to interview through an AI-style HireVue recording. I logged in, read one prompt at a time, had a short preparation window, and recorded a camera response. The questions were mostly STAR-style behavioral questions, with two attempts per prompt. Using the second attempt submitted it automatically.
Near the end, a coding challenge appeared in the same recording window. I could not ask questions. The plain-text environment embedded my work in existing unexplained code, and learning how it expected a submission took longer than the problem. I considered stopping, but continued and passed the supplied tests. Then I never heard back.
It was an unfriendly live-coding experience: no back-and-forth and a tight time box. With no follow-up, I assumed I was not proceeding, though I was glad to have learned what the process was really like.
