My path started with an online assessment that paired a live DSA problem with Amazon work-style questions tied to leadership principles. In the coding portion, I was assessed on my problem-solving approach, correctness, and time and space complexity. The behavioral questions used “tell me about a time” situations and expected STAR-style answers around themes such as ownership, bias for action, and customer obsession.
After I was shortlisted, I had an online technical round consisting of two more DSA questions. The atmosphere was orderly rather than chaotic. I was expected to work methodically and show my reasoning. I was ultimately waitlisted, and I came away feeling that the leadership-principle storytelling mattered throughout, alongside the technical work.
