The process began with an online assessment that combined behavioral prompts tied to Amazon-style Leadership Principles with a separate coding section. After clearing it, I moved to the in-person stage.
My first interview was with the hiring manager and was strongly behavioral. I discussed my background and projects and answered Leadership-Principle questions about specific situations. Near the end, I received a system-design-flavored coding problem. The later engineering rounds required live LeetCode-style work, narration of my reasoning, and discussion of the final approach. They pressed for details rather than accepting an answer alone.
It was structured and intense, and I reached the final round. Behavioral expectations mattered as much as coding. The live problem-solving and explanation requirement seemed decisive for whether I could keep up.
