My experience was shaped less by the technical interviews than by compensation. The process was organized and pleasant, and I genuinely liked the people I met. The rounds covered data science work and included technical as well as people-oriented discussions, including expectations around team or people management.
The pay was the part that landed poorly. After going through multiple interviews and feeling that things were going well, I was shocked by how far below market the data science offer was. They also wanted me to manage people, but they still couldn't match even my current compensation.
I had to decline the offer. The process itself felt respectful, but the mismatch between compensation and responsibilities left me upset and honestly a bit stunned.
