After I applied, the process began with a virtual question screen that felt more like a proctored exam than a conversation. I was asked why I wanted the role and then answered many behavioral prompts. It was awkward more than difficult, and I wished it felt more human.
That led into HireVue again before anything live. The early video rounds were not very technical; they were mostly open ended and structured in a way that did not feel deeply exploratory. Afterward, I reached a superday that was seamless and well run. The interviewers seemed interested in my background and its nuances. The technical portion covered broad financial foundations: accounting, basic economics, and lending concepts. Each was manageable on its own, but together they covered more ground than I expected.
The funnel from video to in-person evaluation was clear and professional. I did not get the offer, and the rigid early format made me feel that I had less space to show my personality than I wanted.
