ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: workday simulation and three final interviews

My loop began with an OA HackerRank round. Within two days, I had a second round that became a workday simulation. I pretended to be an Amazon SDE and talked through decisions about issues that come up in that job. It was less about producing a lot of untested code and more about how I would handle real-world tradeoffs and choices. The final stage was three back-to-back one-hour interviews, each…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: onsite coding and Bar Raiser gap

I began with a straightforward OA and then moved to onsite interviews. The coding rounds were easier than I expected, with LeetCode medium or medium-hard style problems. The Bar Raiser round was different. It felt more complicated and demanded much more preparation than the coding rounds. I could not turn my onsite coding performance into enough strength in the Bar Raiser evaluation. I did not re…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: coding, projects, and leadership principles

The process followed a typical new-grad pattern: an initial coding round followed by three more rounds. Across them, I saw behavioral questions, project discussion, low-level system design, and more coding. Many questions tied directly to leadership principles, so the behavioral part was more specific than a standard tell-me-about-yourself conversation. I had to shape my answers around those them…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: Two coding questions per round

I started with an online assessment containing two coding questions. Within a few days I was selected for the next round, a computer-fundamentals MCQ with about nine sections. After clearing it, I received an interview invitation for two technical rounds. Each technical round had two questions. The topics ranged from basic math to graphs, trees, and HashMap-related problems. The format was very f…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: CV discussion and STAR-style stories

The process began with a phone interview that was mostly about my CV. I then had one technical interview and two behavioral interviews with different managers. The behavioral interviews required a lot of stories. It became clear that they wanted answers in a structured format, so I used STAR-style framing to avoid rambling when they asked for specifics. The technical and CV discussions felt strai…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: difficult first-stage coding gate

I expected the process to be hard, but it was harder than I thought, and I did not reach the second stage. The first stage had three parts: two chunks of coding and technical work, followed by a short survey. I understood the structure but still could not get through all of it. The difficulty was high enough that I could not recover as the stage went on. I was not selected. What disappointed me w…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: CodeSignal AI round

Communication was smooth from the start. I flew out to meet the team and had a few interviews with clear coordination and good back-and-forth. The assessment was the one part that initially threw me. CodeSignal was confusing at first because they said there was now an AI round. Once I understood what they wanted, it became easier to follow, although the early uncertainty added some mental overhea…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: repeated rescheduling around standard questions

The questions themselves were mostly normal interview questions. What wore me down was the process: my interviews were rescheduled three times, and the changing schedule was stressful. Even with that disruption, the content was not out of line. I got LeetCode-medium-level coding questions and behavioral questions, with nothing especially novel or unfair for an SDE role. I did not get the offer. T…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: House Robber and leadership principles

I started through an on-campus opportunity with an OA that mixed fundamentals and personality fit. It included two DSA questions and behavioral questions, followed by two interview rounds. The first interview began with a project discussion and moved to one low-level design question. The second was more coding-heavy: two DSA problems, House Robber 1 and House Robber 3, followed by questions tied…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: DSA followed by system design

I went through two technical rounds. The first was classic LeetCode-style DSA work with two medium problems, including binary search. The second moved away from pure coding and toward larger systems and products. It covered system design and product discussion, along with design patterns and database questions. It felt like an engineer's interview rather than trivia. The difficulty was average fo…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: rescheduled campus loop

This started as an on-campus opportunity. The online assessment had two DSA questions and behavioral questions. After that, I had two interview rounds. The first was a project discussion plus an LLD question. The second had two DSA questions and leadership-principles questions. The questions themselves sounded fairly standard, but my interviews were rescheduled several times. That made the loop f…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: arrays by hand and bidding design

My loop began with an in-person first round that the interviewer said would take about an hour. We started with my resume and past experience, then moved into HR-related questions tied to that background. The technical portion was a medium arrays problem that I had to solve by hand. The second round was online and focused on backend design for bidding at an advertising agency. Moving from a hand-…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: Fifty-minute DSA and behavioral round

I started with an assessment and then moved to a first technical round, but failed after that. The round included a DSA question, a behavioral question, and a situational prompt. The whole interview lasted around fifty minutes. It was compact, with different types of questions coming back to back in a short window. The process was not long, but it clearly tested both coding fundamentals and how I…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: first-round DSA gate

My process had three rounds, and getting past the first one depended on solving both DSA questions. The second round had no clear right answer. They wanted to see whether I could follow the prompt and explain my reasoning. The third round was managerial. That structure made the stakes clear from the beginning. I could not treat the first round as a warm-up. The manager round shifted toward leader…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: binary search, BFS, and AI questions

I went through two interview rounds. The first had two DSA problems. One used binary search on the answer, and the other was BFS. During that same round, they also asked about AI and hallucinations. The second round was a crypto number style question. The topics were varied, and the AI portion in the first round surprised me because it moved the conversation away from pure coding. I did not get a…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: DSA follow-ups and behavioral principles

My interviews followed a three-round sequence. I started with an online assessment, then had a technical interview on basic DSA coding questions with follow-ups, including time-complexity questions. The final round was behavioral and tied directly to Amazon-style behavior principles. Although the DSA questions were described as basic, they still required careful reasoning and clear explanations.…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: AI-assisted debugging and leadership principles

The process began with an online assessment that had one DSA coding task and an AI-assisted debugging exercise. For the debugging part, I was given a coding database and had to use an assistant through prompts to work out why something failed. The stage ended with leadership-principles style questions. After that, I had three technical rounds. Each combined a DSA question with leadership-principl…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: quick move from assessment to virtual onsite

My process started with an online assessment that I completed in about three days. The HR contact asked when I could finish it, so timing mattered from the start. After that, I had a phone screen with behavioral questions and LeetCode. A couple of days later, I had the virtual onsite. It included more LeetCode, OOD, and system design. When I reported the experience, I had just completed the phone…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: uneven onsite question difficulty

I think my loop followed a classic coding-and-design structure, but the outcome went against me. I went through an assessment and several later stages. By the final onsite setup, it felt as though I was competing against other interviewers' question sets. At the onsite stage, I had the impression that some candidates got standard LeetCode questions while others got harder, less familiar variants.…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: Clarify before coding

The interviewer was friendly, and their questioning style made me feel less rushed. They would ask a question, wait for my answer, listen carefully, and then ask follow-ups. What stood out was the importance they placed on clarity before coding. They repeatedly appreciated it when I clarified the requirements and intended approach instead of jumping straight into writing code. That made the inter…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
