Automatic Data Processing Account Executive Interview Experience: manager discussions and a team shadow

After I applied, a recruiter called to set up an initial phone conversation. That led to an interview with a director, followed by office discussions with Sales Executive managers. Those conversations focused heavily on my sales history and behavioral questions, so I had to explain what I had done and how I approached selling. I then shadowed a team member, which was a welcome surprise. It felt l…

Automatic Data Processing Account Executive Interview Experience: recruiter no-show and delayed feedback

The process looked as though it would go smoothly at first, but the timing and communication soured it. I had gone through a couple of interviews out of college and did not get the role. That was disappointing but fair. About two years later, a recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn to reconnect and set up an interview. The recruiter then failed to show up without an explanation, which felt unprofess…

Automatic Data Processing Account Executive Interview Experience: second video interview with a decision pending

I was still in the interview process when I shared this. A recruiter had contacted me, and I had completed an initial interview with a kind interviewer. My second conversation was a video meeting and felt like a normal next step. There was not much more detail beyond the process moving forward and being enjoyable so far. Automatic Data Processing Account Executive Interview Experience: Behavioral structure, sales scenarios, and STAR reflection

My recruiter conversation set the tone for a straightforward process. We discussed expectations and my past experience, and after the call went well I moved to a one-on-one interview with higher-ups. That part felt strong, and I left feeling that it had clicked, though I was then waiting for next steps. The format varied, but each stage relied on prepared questions. In a roughly half-hour Zoom in…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
