A recruiter first discussed the role, salary range, and an expected home-office arrangement because I lived far from the office. I then interviewed with a manager, and another recruiter later told me I had been approved.
After approval, the terms changed. The salary was lower than originally discussed, and home office became hybrid. I was told after internal alignment that the original conditions could not be kept, so I chose not to continue.
I also saw candidate-side problems after background checks, where offer-letter processing appeared not to move and people were left in limbo with automated, template-like helpdesk replies instead of clear updates. I did not take the role. What I remember is how quickly the official story changed after I had already invested time.
