I expected a simple interview, but the main conversation was longer and more demanding than I anticipated. It ran close to an hour and a half and covered my work history, personality, how I think, and what I value. The interviewer was relaxed, but the questions kept coming.
Much of the discussion focused on customer-facing judgment: difficult customers, day-to-day fit, and driving results. We also discussed selling, client relationships, quotas, performance expectations, teamwork, and leadership.
The rest of the process moved efficiently around that detailed conversation, and I understood what they were looking for in the role. I received an offer fairly quickly and was eager to join. I respected the thoroughness, even though it was clearly more demanding than a quick interview.
