Airbus Software Engineer interview: CV-led technical process

The early interviews were tied closely to my CV. The first technical conversation covered my background and fundamentals. A follow-up included Python and algorithms before going deeper into projects I had listed, and the last HR discussion asked about strengths and weaknesses.

I was not asked to code live, but I had to explain my background in detail. The panel divided the questions so that each interviewer handled a different slice. For me the difficulty sat between average and difficult: it was technical, but still connected to the role.

What frustrated me was the apparent mismatch between the job description and what they seemed to be hiring for. I also received no meaningful feedback and waited a long time for any response despite following up. I did not get an offer, and the lack of alignment and closure bothered me more than the technical rounds.

Location: Bengaluru. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: no offer.
