AIRBUS U.S. Space & Defense Software Engineer HireVue interview

AIRBUS U.S. Space & Defense·Software Engineer·Reported Jul 2026
Medium

My first step was an automated HireVue stage. I recorded answers to preset prompts with a short preparation window before the camera started. With only a prompt and timer instead of a person, it was unnerving. Some responses allowed retakes, which made the exercise feel focused on wording and structure.

After getting through the video interview, I had a traditional conversation with the hiring manager. I introduced myself, discussed projects from my background, explained why I wanted Airbus, and talked about what I wanted from the role. The manager described expectations and we discussed how my experience matched them.

Despite pauses between steps, the path felt straightforward once I reached a human conversation.

Location: Toulouse. Overall feedback: Positive. Offer status: no offer.
