I reached the later stages, including a final technical evaluation. The last question was the one that tripped me up. I couldn't land the final step cleanly, and I couldn't tell whether that meant I was done entirely or whether there was any behavioral wrap-up afterward.
What stood out most was how long the silence felt after I finished. I waited so long for a rejection letter that I started to doubt what had happened administratively, and I didn't receive any meaningful follow-up. The experience was disappointing because of the decision, but the communication lag also made the whole process feel unpolished.
In the end, I didn't receive an offer. The technical bar felt real and consistent with quant research work, but missing late in the process and then getting little or no follow-through left me with a pretty negative overall impression.
