After applying, I received a call scheduling an onsite a few weeks later. The day began with a plant tour, followed by short meetings with managers from different engineering areas, each taking about half an hour. The conversations covered fit, daily work, and behavioral examples about challenges, teamwork, stress, and my work history.
The process gave me a view of the whole operation. I met people across several disciplines in conversational meetings rather than rapid-fire questioning. Lunch was part of a longer setup, which made the day feel like an extended walkthrough of the business and culture. The number of individual conversations stood out even though I was prepared for standard resume questions.
By the end, I understood more about the engineering departments and how decisions were discussed at the site. The ending varied: I either did not move forward or, in the version that lasted about two days with managers from across the site, received a verbal offer soon afterward. The experience felt smooth and informative, though its length and intensity varied. What stayed with me most was how much time they invested in getting to know me across departments, and how much I felt like I was touring the company as much as interviewing.
Location: Winston-Salem, NC. Overall feedback: Positive. Offer status: Got offer.
