AMD Construction Group Software Engineer Interview Experience: Linux, embedded work, and networking

AMD Construction Group·Software Engineer·Reported Aug 2026
Technical ScreenMedium

After a recruiter call, I entered a structured technical loop that lasted a few weeks. The recruiter covered my background and the rough process, and about a week later I was in the first technical screen. The later conversations with engineers and the hiring manager focused mostly on my past projects, especially Linux systems and embedded-style software work.

I also completed a coding session on basic data structures and algorithms. The technical discussions covered debugging and computer-networking fundamentals. The interviews were reasonably paced and professional. I could explain what I had built and answer follow-ups instead of only getting quick-fire questions.

Overall, it felt like a standard engineering assessment rather than something extremely deep or abstract.

Location: Bayan Lepas. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: no offer.
