This new question had probably been in use for a few months.
I was given an online VS Code environment and a site similar to GitHub. It contained four pull requests, and I was allowed to use Claude Code. The task had two parts. First, I needed to go through every pull request, explain the problem each one solved, and comment on each one. Second, I had to choose one pull request, improve it, and update it.
I think I probably failed this interview. Honestly, I did not know how to approach it. Because Claude Code was available, I could ask it most of the direct questions, and I could not tell what the interview was intended to assess. Another issue was that the required language was TypeScript, which is not one of my strengths. I asked the interviewer whether I could change languages and was told that I could not.
