I got contacted by HR on LinkedIn — the team is based in Austin.
The phone screen was with the hiring manager. Two questions, neither of which needed to actually run — you just had to talk through your approach. Not straight off LeetCode, but roughly LeetCode easy level. I interviewed after only a few days of grinding problems, and I still passed, so don't stress about it too much.
The onsite was split across 3 days. Every round had a ton of behavioral questions, and there was even a round that was pure behavioral. When I first started interviewing, I felt like I'd been working for so many years that these stories just came pouring out. Afterward, when I reflected on it carefully, I realized a lot of what I said had no logic and no point — when someone asks you a question, it's not gossip time. After that I really took it to heart and prepared my behavioral answers seriously. Of all the companies I interviewed with, this one asked the most behavioral questions by far — you really need to prepare well for it.
The position title didn't have "senior" in it, even though I've been working for almost 8 years now. So they didn't test any system design at all, just LeetCode-style questions, all easy difficulty. One was similar to a LeetCode problem, but using integers instead of linked-list node objects. Another was buy/sell stock once (classic best-time-to-buy-and-sell-stock). And there was also a question about checking whether parentheses match.
Overall the difficulty wasn't high, but this write-up probably isn't that useful as a reference. The interview experience itself was good, and the interviewers seemed to be in good spirits too. After the interview I got ghosted — I emailed HR once but never got a reply, so I'm guessing it's not happening. But since this was my first interview in 6 years, having HR reach out to me directly gave me a lot of confidence, and the interview process didn't put me through the wringer either. Still really grateful for it!
