The first round gave me an early sense that this would be a low-pressure process. It wasn't technical grilling. I mainly described my previous job and discussed what the role would involve. Shortly afterward, I had a final conversation with top management. It leaned toward explanation and discussion rather than trying to catch me with specific technical questions.
The tone stayed straightforward when I presented, too. In one interview, I shared a small presentation with a short self-introduction and answered questions about it. Nothing felt adversarial. In another case, I went through three rounds split between online and face-to-face interviews. HR and the interviewers were friendly and professional. The process moved quickly, and the questions related directly to what I'd described.
Across those rounds, it didn't feel like a stress test. The sequence was clear enough that I knew what was happening: present, discuss, then have a final conversation. I was offered the role in the interviews I made it through. What I'll remember is how much more comfortable I felt when the technical part wasn't the centerpiece.
