I went through a recruiter call and then several technical rounds. The whole process felt hostile and disrespectful of my time. Even when the interviewers were outwardly neutral, I didn't feel much respect for the effort involved in sitting through multiple steps. The hardest part was that I never got clear feedback about why I was rejected, so I was left guessing where things went wrong.
The technical loop felt brutal in a very specific way. Debugging and system design were both high pressure, and missing one detail in the debugging work could effectively end the round. The system design interview also involved frequent interruptions. The interviewer pushed for quick, confident answers, so I couldn't reason through ideas slowly. I had to know the basics and respond fast.
Some parts of the process also felt opaque, and I never fully understood what they expected beyond the general requirements. The process dragged on without giving me much clarity. I left frustrated because I got no meaningful signal, only the sense that the odds weren't in my favor.
