After recruiter outreach, I had a structured set of interviews. The first technical step used screen sharing: I discussed my background and answered questions about SQL and JavaScript.
Soon afterward, I had a longer technical interview lasting about two hours in total, including a separate manager-focused section. I explained my experience concretely, while the manager asked behavioral questions about how I would handle specific situations. The technical discussion kept returning to practical understanding.
The process was neither chaotic nor adversarial. It seemed intended to assess day-to-day engineering reasoning and clear communication. I did not receive an offer, but the experience was positive and I felt my answers were taken on their merits.
Location: United Kingdom. Overall feedback: Positive. Offer status: No offer.
