I started with a heavily monitored CodeSignal test. I had to keep my camera and microphone on, record my full screen for the entire test, and upload identity details. After I passed, the process quickly became chaotic. Communication broke down almost immediately. I kept waiting while the recruiter seemed to disappear for days, later attributing the delay to a company outing.
When scheduling finally started, getting Virtual Day 1 on the calendar took nearly two weeks. The day itself included multiple technical rounds and a Deep Dive, and I felt that I answered everything clearly. Afterward, I had to chase the recruiter for updates. They said a rejection email had been sent, but it never appeared. They later shared detailed feedback and promised to reply within an hour, then disappeared again. The final rejection cited "technical gaps," even though the Deep Dive discussion hadn’t reflected that.
The rejection itself wasn’t what surprised me most. It was the number of broken promises and follow-ups required just to get basic closure. I left feeling dismissed, as if my time and effort hadn’t been handled with any real accountability.
