I came through campus recruiting, starting with a CGPA eligibility check and resume shortlisting. That led to a 60-minute coding interview with an AI. There were two questions, so I had to keep an eye on both the approach and correctness while the clock ran. Clearing that screen put me in consideration for a take-home assignment, although the hiring process was still underway when I last heard.
The technical round followed the same AI-first setup. I worked through a couple of DSA questions and had to explain my reasoning to the AI instead of simply writing code. The second problem was a real jump in difficulty. I went through edge cases, time and space complexity, and follow-ups about choices such as backtracking and DP. A lot of the time went to explaining why I had picked a particular method.
It felt rigorous rather than relaxed. Even when I understood a problem, the jump between the two coding questions was mentally demanding. It didn't feel like a speed test alone. I needed to reason out loud and stay efficient. I got far enough to be considered for a take-home, but I was not at an offer stage and came away feeling that I had shown my thought process more than my final output time.
